Mission
Fort Saskatchewan Youth Basketball (FSYB) is a grassroots program that recognizes the
importance of teaching young athletes foundational basketball skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Fort Saskatchewan Youth Basketball presents
Ages 5-12 Years Old
12 Week Program
September 7- December 5, 2026
Ages 5-7 Monday Evenings 1 hr/ week
Ages 8-12 Monday - Thursday 1 Hr / week + 6 weeks of games on Saturday mornings
Jr. NBA/WNBA Youth Basketball (JNYB) is the official Youth Basketball program developed in partnership with Canada Basketball and NBA Canada. JYNB is geared towards youth between the ages 5-12 (Kindergarten to Grades 6) with a focus on developing fundamental skills, sportsmanship, and a love for basketball.

FSYB (ages 12-18 Jr/Sr High School Ages)
This is an opportunity to hone in on your skills or try basketball for the first time and come and have a good time with your friends while finding confidence on the court.
This program includes 12 weeks of once a week practice 1.5 hrs/ week. And 4 Game nights.
Cost includes practice and game time and FSYB Jersey.
Registration Information
Our program has always committed to decreasing barriers for kids to have the opportunity to play ball; including heavy time commitments, travel times, unnecessary competitive pressures, and now we are decreasing barriers for our families thanks to our success at receiving the Jumpstart Grant.
This 2026 season will have a registration cost of $60.00 / participant. (There will also be the mandatory membership fee for Canada Basketball of $9.00 and Alberta Basketball Association of $20.00. This covers the cost of insurance).
Registration will Open June 1 - 14, 2026 for Returning Families. An email has been sent with the registration link
Open June 15-July 30 to New families (or until capacity is reached).
First Come First Registration
Registration Fees - $60 / player
Fees include Practice time, Jersey and game fees, participation medal (for both Jr. NBA and FSYB) and Jr.NBA swag bag for Jr.NBA participants
*Optional additional costs for Jr. NBA include Shorts $15 and Ball $17
FSYB operates under FSMSA and Alberta Basketball Association
* All registrations are also subject to the ABA and Canada Basketball Membership Fee of $29.00 in addition to registration fees
We cannot run this program without support from volunteers. Please choose which volunteer capacity you are willing to take on for the 2026 season during registration.
If you are willing to coach or assistant coach please email fortsaskyouthbasketball@gmail.com or register as a staff member in the RAMP registration. The cost is free to register as a staff.
Fort Saskatchewan Minor Sports Association has KIDSPORT funding available upon application
